Scandinavian Christmas dining

I always think that Christmas and Scandinavian style go hand in hand and where better to bring those two things together than on the dining table? I’ve never been a massive fan of the traditional red, green and gold of the festive period so I have been on the look out for more pared back tableware but pieces with lots of lovely textures that help to soften the hard edges of winter light and weather.

The perfect Christmas table by ALSO Home

To create that Scandi feel go for beautiful ceramics, warm wooden serving boards, touches of blue, the natural texture of baskets for bread, linen table cloths and napkins and lots and lots of beeswax candles. Here are some of my favourite pieces that would help to make any table this Christmas look and feel amazing…

Isn’t it gorgeous? Love how Christmassy it looks without all the glitz of trad xmas tinsel and red, gold and green colour scheme. x

I love Christmas! In Poland, where I come from, we’re more into natural decor, including hay sas a feature of the dinner setting. I
love the teapot! Clicked straight away, but it’s not dishwasher safe 🙁
I am really hoping that with the new family member, you’ll post more dishwasher safe beautiful pieces. Having kids really took tall on our style, one just cannot spare any time at the sink.

Gorgeous ideas and a beautiful selection of pievces. I really like blue and white crockery so will check them out more and had never thought of using it for xmas table but it looks perfect. Can you recommend any natural looking easy place setting ideas that I could achieve with out much crafty skill? 😉

I have to be honest and say I had never thought of using blue and white either but it works so well, doesn’t it? I rally love the designs that ALSO Home do, too. What about using a pine cone and positioning a name card into it? Or you could spray pears gold and tie a little name tag round it? Try Pinterest too – loads of good ideas there. x
